A true surfing sage
We are pleases to introduce a surfing sage who we have had the pleasure of catching up with on our recent sojourn to the idyll of Tranche sur la mer.
Hailing from Shoreham on the south coast he is indeed wise in all things boarding even though he no longer rides the swell. We swapped yarns and memories and were pleased to be acknowledged as kindred members of the surfing fraternity as we have the blood !
So we will often raise a glass or two to Joe, his good lady wife and Eddie his trusty hound as we continue our adventures. Hopefully we will meet up next year ....

Gastronomic highlights ....
Victuals my friends and libations are fundamental to the funbus ethos and this latest trip has been no exception.
Here is a sample of the culinary delights we have enjoyed ....
Thursday...roast chicken and a robust claret for luncheon. Mussels in a Roquefort (pour moi) and cream (for the Bish) sauce followed by creme brûlée a caramel and Vendee fromage for dinner washed down with a rather light but perky local red. Copious amounts of cafe noir and Ricards throughout the day with a few 'pressions' thrown in for good measure
Friday ... Fruit and croissants kicked us off followed with hearty chicken rolls through the day culminating in aperitifs of pastis and kronenburgh followed with the now famous duck and sautéed kidneys with rice and fresh vegetables, prepared by the masterchef himself, well supported by a very pleasant chateau neuf de pape and of course the obligatory cafe and Ricard throughout the day
Saturday ... Normal delicacies early doors but a rather tasty dinner of prawns, veal and scallops were particularly pleasant especially with a spirited chilled Gavi and rather delicious Chablis. Now off to rufty tufty French bar to watch the rugger ( Toulon v Castres) vive le France!
Heaven knows what we will dine on tomorrow but rest assured dear chums it will be
delicious.
